Personal Care
Following a long stretch of being COVID-19 free throughout our community, we recently had two team members test positive for COVID-19 during required weekly surveillance testing.
These team members were serving in the Personal Care units in the Long Building. As a result, the Personal Care Units located in the Long Building must enter a precautionary quarantine per Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. There will be a pause on meals being served in the dining rooms, group activities will be postponed, and in-room visitation must also be put on hold. Window visitation can be scheduled with Joann Rineer in activities, (717) 786-5709 or Emily Wiker, Personal Care Services Coordinator (717) 786-5784. Residents that meet the compassionate care criteria for visitation may continue as per outlined in the resident’s plan of care.
Skilled Nursing and Memory Support Unit of Personal Care
There are no positive cases in these areas so visitation, dining, and activities may continue for these units. Please keep in mind that if a team member or resident does test positive at any time, visitation, group activities and dining will be put on hold per Department of Health and Department of Human Services guidelines.
