April 2, 2020

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2020, Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community’s campus will be restricted except for the following:

  • Residents
  • Team members who are scheduled to work
  • Pre-authorized family members providing care to a resident who has demonstrated a need for a “Family Caregiver” Pass
  • Authorized contracted workers
  • Emergency personnel

All entrances and exits to the campus are closed except for the main entrance on 625 Robert Fulton Highway. All residents and team members must enter and exit the campus at this location. The Wellness Center is now closed.

Any items that need to be given to residents can be dropped off at the Delivery Tent between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the entrance to campus and they will be delivered to the resident. Please see map HERE. In addition, residents are highly discouraged from leaving campus for any non-life sustaining reason.

We are actively monitoring all our healthcare residents and team members for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the CDC, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and following their guidelines.

All residents living in apartments and cottages are encouraged to self-monitor for signs of fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat. If you have signs of illness, immediately contact your physician and notify the Healthcare Response Attendant by calling 717-786-5207.

Our team members continue to follow the CDC guidelines to reduce the risk of further spread of COVID-19. These include strict handwashing procedures, the utilization of personal protective equipment as needed, and social distancing. We strongly encourage residents to do the same — wash your hands frequently, do not touch your face, limit social interactions, and maintain a 6-foot distance from any other individual.

Healthcare areas, including Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, and Memory Support continue to be closed except for end of life situations as directed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
