On Tuesday of this week, two residents in Personal Care/Memory Support started exhibiting symptoms consistent with potential COVID-19. All residents on the unit were immediately tested and we began taking increased measures to ensure residents stayed in their rooms and away from one another.
We received the results back from the testing and learned that 6 residents in Personal Care/Memory Support have tested positive. Another round of testing will be done today for all residents that tested negative. Residents that tested positive are isolated. At this time, 3 of the residents are exhibiting mild signs and symptoms while 2 residents remain asymptomatic and one was just sent to the hospital to as a precaution due to more symptoms starting to develop.
The results of Monday’s testing showed that all Memory Support team members tested negative. QPRC conducted testing again today on all team members and will closely monitor those results as they come in.
Team Members have been working tirelessly to keep our residents safe and are confident in their ability to continue to carry out the processes in place to limit this spread as much as possible. Please continue to keep our residents and team members in your prayers as we continue to push through this wearying time to ensure the safety of all.
