It is exciting to be able to share with the community that Quarryville has now had two full rounds of COVID-19 testing with all negative results. As of this morning, we will have NO active cases of COVID-19 in our community and are thankful to be on the other side of a couple of outbreaks in our facility. Our team members continue to be tested twice a week in accordance with regulations based on the county positivity rate. The current positivity rate has declined to 11.2% which has dropped every week for the past month. We are looking forward to the positivity rate going below 10% for two straight weeks so we can move to weekly testing for all team members.
Visitation
Indoor visitation is still prohibited in Personal Care and Skilled Care unless you are a designated compassionate caregiver that has met the criteria given to us by Department of Health and Department of Human Services. Once the positivity rate drops below 10%, we will begin the process of conducting indoor visits with residents as current guidelines and restrictions allow. We are still providing for scheduled window visits between residents and family members. Visits can be scheduled through the Activities Department or any Personal Care team member.
Vaccinations
Quarryville is excited to have completed our second COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday February 9th. The third clinic for those still needing their second dose will be held on March 3. Times for this clinic may change so please be on the lookout. We are continuing to work on securing vaccinations for residential living residents. We are at the mercy of when and where vaccines are allocated by the local and state governments. Numerous residents have been able to receive the vaccination by signing up online or contacting their physician. At this time, we recommend you explore that avenue if you wish to be vaccinated. We will continue to update you as we have additional information.
For residents, family members and team members that have been vaccinated, please keep in mind that we have been specifically instructed by DOH and DHS to keep all of our current policies in place regardless of vaccination status. Masks and eye protection still must be worn AT ALL TIMES on the units. Visitation will still be limited per current guidelines. Compassionate care visit criteria will remain unchanged and testing will still be mandatory based on the same regulations we have followed up until this point.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we trust that God will continue to lead us and protect us during this pandemic.
