Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community continues to take important preventive measures to contain the current outbreak in Skilled Nursing and Residential Living and prevent any further outbreaks from occurring.  While we have had additional Skilled Nursing residents test positive for COVID-19 since the last update, Monday’s testing showed no positive results. We are testing all Skilled Nursing residents again today and are expecting those results before the end of the week. For right now, Skilled Nursing will remain in the yellow zone.

Personal Care testing has come back all negative for the second straight week. Therefore, Personal Care will be in the green zone effective 1/27/2022.

No additional positive cases in Residential Living have been reported to us since the update last Wednesday.

There are a number of positive cases and exposures among Team Members throughout the community.

The CMS Vaccine Mandate that is applicable to our Skilled Nursing facility officially goes into effect at midnight tonight. Visitors who are visiting specific residents may still visit without being vaccinated but any visitor MUST CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK PRIOR TO THEIR VISIT. Team Members, please see additional communication and check with your supervisor if you were granted a medical or religious exemption. The accommodations for those exemptions must be strictly adhered to and will be strongly enforced.

Though visitation is still permitted per regulations, we cannot urge families enough to reconsider visitation during this time. Quarryville can assist with video calls, phone calls, window visits, etc. as a safe alternative that still provides interaction between our residents and their loved ones.

Thank you for your continued support during this time. Please continue to keep our residents, team members, and community in prayer as we navigate this pandemic that continues to cause weariness and uncertainty.
