Recent COVID testing revealed 2 additional residents and 3 additional team members who tested positive. QPRC continues to test all team members twice a week in accordance with PA guidelines based on the county positivity rate. We will continue to notify residents and families of positive cases if and when they arise. We have now had two Skilled Care residents pass away after dealing with the effects of COVID-19. Five residents of the most recent outbreak are now officially recovered.

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community will be holding our second vaccine clinic on February 9th in partnership with Walgreens for all residents and team members in both Skilled Care and Personal Care. All individuals who received their initial dose on January 18 will be given their second and final dose. Any residents or team members that have not received their initial dose, will receive their first dose on the 9th. Any resident or team member who declined the first one is able to get the vaccine this time around if they wish.

At this time, we still do not have any word on when or if Quarryville may receive vaccines to vaccinate our RL residents and team members. We encourage you to reach out to your primary care physician or register with one of the clinics that are starting to pop up around the county. If we learn more about being able to offer the vaccine at our community, we will let everyone know immediately.

As this pandemic continues to present new and unique challenges, our hearts and prayers are with our residents, their families and team members who are experiencing the loneliness that isolation and physical distancing created. Our team continues to identify ways in which we can help address the physical, mental, and spiritual toll this has had on everyone associated with our communities.
