Praise God!! We have received the final results of our second round of mandatory testing. I am happy to report that everyone that was tested is negative.
We attribute this to God’s divine providence and the endurance of everyone in our community in following guidelines.
Romans 5:2-4 says …we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
While this is a milestone, it does not signify the end. This is not the time to throw caution to the wind but rather a time to take well-thought-out measured steps towards reopening. We will keep you informed as decisions are made and steps are taken.
Visitation:
Residential Living residents may continue to visit with up to four visitors outside provided they maintain a 6-foot distance and wear a face mask.
Residents in Personal Care (PC) may now leave their rooms and sit in the lobby or outside, weather permitting. PC Residents may only visit with up to four visitors through the window in the atrium on the first floor for up to ½ hour. PC Residents may NOT visit with visitors outside.
Skilled Care remains closed to visitors, but residents may visit with up to four visitors through the windows in the Thompson lobby or the Long Building atrium for up to ½ hour.
All residents must continue to wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart from any other individual and wash or sanitize their hands frequently.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
