It has been a joy to experience some more freedom and do so in a safe way that has allowed for the county Covid-19 Positivity rate to continue to decline. Skilled Nursing and Personal Care remain regulated by government agencies that still have strict requirements and guidelines we must follow to avoid severe reprimand.
COVID Testing – All Skilled Nursing and Personal Care team members who are not fully vaccinated MUST be tested for COVID-19 this upcoming June 28th and 29th. The times are listed below. Each department supervisor has a list of unvaccinated employees we will check immediately following to ensure everyone required was tested.
Non-Vaccinated Team Member routine testing | Hudson Taylor Dining Room |
Monday, June 28th | 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM |
Tuesday, June 29th | 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM |
Masks – Pennsylvania is planning to lift their mask requirement in the upcoming days. The lifting of this requirement does not apply to us as all team members and visitors are required to wear a mask at all times in Long and Thompson Buildings. Healthcare facilities are bound by stricter regulations due to the nature of our industry. Team members must continue to wear masks in Residential Living buildings as well.
Visitation– We are overjoyed to witness residents enjoying visitors again and see the joy that brings our residents and their loved ones. We must continue to remind visitors a few things to ensure the safety of our residents and to be able to continue to allow visitation in Skilled Nursing and Personal Care.
- Visitors must wear a mask at all times while visiting, including any outdoor visits.
- ALL visitors must check in at the Long building reception desk to be screened. This includes Residential Living residents at Quarryville visiting someone in Skilled Nursing or Personal Care.
- At this time, visitation with families may only occur in the resident’s room or outside. Visitors are not permitted to be in common areas, join activities, or join any meals at this time.
Vaccine Clinic – The next vaccine clinic at QPRC will be held on Tuesday July 6th. Please reach out to Monica Herbein, (717) 786-5341 to get signed up and avoid having to be COVID tested in the future.
Thank you for continuing to help us keep everyone safe. We will continue to keep everyone informed of any updates to COVID-19 related policies or procedures.
