March 21, 2022

It is always a joy to be able to announce there continue to be no more cases of COVID-19 at Quarryville since our last update. There was one individual that tested positive but had not worked during her infectious period, so it did not have any affect on the community.

Testing

No routine COVID-19 testing is required for team members that are “up-to-date” on vaccinations. Individuals who are not “up-to-date” must be tested a minimum of once per week. Direct care workers in Skilled Nursing that have an approved religious exemption must be tested a minimum of twice per week.

Due to a decrease in the testing frequency, we are reducing the testing hours. These testing hours are open to team members or residents throughout the community.

Vaccine Clinic

Hershey Care Pharmacy will be arriving at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 23rd for a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic. This clinic will once again be held in the Great Room in the Commons Building. They will be leaving immediately after everyone has received their vaccine; so please arrive at 11:30 AM.

If you are interested in getting the vaccine, please reach out to Rob Benson ([email protected]) to let us know you will be there, which vaccine you wish to have administered (first dose, second dose, booster) and which brand you would like. We can offer Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson in any dose.

All residents, team members, and family members wishing to be vaccinated and meet the criteria above are eligible. Please reach out to Rob Benson if you have any questions on eligibility for yourself, a loved one, or a family member.

Vaccination packets must be filled out prior to receiving your vaccine.  They are located at the Long, Dyrness and McElwain reception desks.
