MAY 15, 2020

We rejoice that we continue to be COVID-free throughout our community. Primarily, this is because of God’s good providence and somewhat because of the diligent behavior of our team in following the practices that have been instituted.

Spring has sprung. With a forecasted high today of 84, you will have opportunities to do more. Please be careful and consider the bigger, long-term picture. We remain committed to keeping our residents and team members safe. We will consider the latest recommendations and guidelines but because our residents are most vulnerable, we may not be returning to normal as quickly as the general population.

Please continue to be diligent and conservative in keeping good practices such as distancing, hand washing, and masks which are intended to keep us safe. What we choose to do can profoundly impact those around us.

1 Corinthians 6:12 tells us, “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. There may be times when you have the freedom to do something but for the benefit of others you may choose not to do it. The converse is also true. There may be places you go where a mask is not required, but for the benefit of our residents, your neighbors, you choose to wear one.

We are asking you to choose social distancing. Choose to wear a mask. Choose to wash your hands often. Choose to avoid crowds. Choose to consider the needs of others.

Our desire is that our residents and team members remain safe but also that they once again be able to enjoy food, fellowship and family together.
